are the closest thing I can find to tasting like a real beer but they are 5.99 a bottle so I drink New Grist. Strong bow and Crispin are the ciders of choice.

....is not only are there a LOT of real ale pubs in the area where I live, but most of them have plenty of scrumpy as well for the cider drinkers. This is the local cider round here. http://www.ukcider.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Woodthorpe

Cider's not my thing after bad experiences with the stuff when I was 17. Therefore I stick to beer, be it real ale, bottled exotica from the States or even some of the new fangled key-keg stuff if I'm feeling rich.

If I drink it I know I would be miserable after but it is tempting.
My brother was in Liverpool with his son on a football tour a few years back. He ordered a pint of scrumpy and the man said "are you sure you want that it is "A Little Rough" My brother and his friend took one drink. The friend choked and left it lay. My brother swallowed a ball of fire took a breath and finished the pint. He said he might as well have picked up a can of gasoline.

Personally I thought it was good but I was more interested in the Crouch Vale Yakima Gold which was also on. Not bad when you've got a local pub with 12 real ales, 2 real cider's and Bernard Pilsner!

For some reason I seem to have a reputation on here as a beer geek!
