and were much smaller than you'd expect a pillow to be. But when I unwrapped the plastic the pillows poofed up right away. I think this is true of IKEA cats as well. Take him out of the box and he'll poof up to his normal shape and size. I don't think there are any parts you will need one of those little allen wrenches for assembly.
