First of all, I had several IDs (wife's and a few I didn't recognize) but couldn't find my voter registration card (which IS in my wallet). Then I had to look at something I was supposed to sign that was all advertisements for "pay to play" events. I didn't sign it, but then they didn't want me to sign the registry like I always do.

After escaping that, I went through double doors into a massive room and got into a line that kept getting longer IN FRONT of me. Finally, I saw the tables with the registries ahead and, with nobody signalling what to do, crept toward them until I found the right line. Then SHE wanted to see my ID.

So, I pulled out my wallet along with about 50 lbs of old hand tools including saws and hand drills and screwdrivers and bolt cutters...

The center part of my wallet fell out and I left it on the table. Then I couldn't find my ID OR my voter registration card and the middle part of my wallet disappeared. There were also about 100 lbs of other hand tools on the table so I had trouble determining which ones were mine. Note: I was wearing shorts with fairly small front pockets and no back pockets.

Finally, some guy at a stand called me over and told me I couldn't vote without my ID. I knew it was the general election, but even in the dream I also knew it was July. This confused me.

I think I read too much about politics.
