If you need help getting off Nutella, I suggest almond butter at Whole Foods. Far less sugar, nice nuttiness.

Take two teaspoons before going to bed if you experience hypoglycemic crashes during the night.

It wasn't bad... but compared to what I had hoped for, it was simply "Meh."

I'm 52, and this is the first time today I've tried it!

As to being "healthy," I know damn well it has sugar and chocolate in it.

I have no willpower when it comes to these things, and your post confirms my suspicion that I would be instantly addicted to it.

It is sinfully good, and for the longest time it had been advertised as nutritional. Now we know that it is sinful, but good.

Great to dip pretzels in, make peanut butter / chocolate bagels, etc. Healthy not so much, delicious - oh, hell yes! We're used to hazel nuts, they grow everywhere around here.

Loads of "homemade Nutella" recipes out there, but this one is lower in sugar, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly:

I haven't tried it yet, but it's on my list of recipes to try.

A little real whipped cream and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Sliced bananas thrown in is a nice touch also. The French eat the hell out of it that way.

I don't eat much of it, because I try to avoid too much sugar (hypoglycemia) but my kids love it. It's good as a fruit dip, in crepes, with banana sandwiches. It was a good substitute when my kids weren't allowed peanut butter because of a kid with peanut allergies in their class, but nutella was ok.
