"Low Fat" products = Tools of the Devil

I'm making a chicken curry dish tonight. Somehow, I got "low fat" coconut milk on my last shopping trip, and that's what I've got to work with.

"65% less fat, and 65% less calories than regular coconut milk!" screams the label.

What it doesn't tell you is the texture of your finished product is like water. Can't wait to taste it...

Life is too short for low-fat products.

I agree you need full fat to make some products work. alphafemale Jul 2012 #3

Means it's watered-down, or something along that line that makes whatever it is taste awful.

And I drink skim milk!

I use low fat sour cream to make a Guac because the avocado has a lot of fat to compensate.

I'd never use a Non Fat Sour cream or cheese though. Those don't even melt right.

And screw those fake veggie cheeses. Gross as can be.

I partially drink skim milk so that I can have my fat where it matters.
