So sad. Andy Griffith held a special place in my heart. He reminded me so much of my dad in every way, including his sense of humor. Had a chance to meet him when I was young and he seemed like such a truly nice person.

Andy, may you find your peace in heaven, and have the reunion of a lifetime with your buddies!

And I married a man from the NC mountains, and let me tell you, Andy was family (figuratively and literally) to everybody up there. I WISHED my father was like him, and when he was telling a story he did venture into that realm just a little. I could go on for a long time about what I loved about that show, but I'll just let it speak for itself:
