Trackin my online order!

So, yesterday afternoon, I order some computer parts.

In the early evening, I get an email: Your order has been shipped. And it's got trackin info! So I click the trackin info. And I learn that my order is in the warehouse, only six hours away! It hasn't actually shipped yet; but the warehouse has sent UPS the trackin number and has told UPS to come pick up the order; so in a bit of premature excitement, they're tellin me the order has shipped

Around midnight, I get another email: Your order status has been updated. And it's got trackin info! So I click the trackin info. And I learn that the UPS man has scanned my order! Hoo boy! It's only six hours away. I ought get it almost any time!

Around 6 AM, I click the trackin info again. And I see nothin happened since the UPS man has scanned my order! Hoo boy! It's only six hours away. I ought get it almost any time!

Around noon, I click the trackin info again. And I see nothin happened since the UPS man has scanned my order! Hoo boy! It's only six hours away. I ought get it almost any time!

Around 3P, I click the trackin info again. And I see there's a USPS trackin number! Also I see UPS says my order oughta get here by Thursday! So I click the USPS trackin number and I get a USPS message: Tracking is unavailable for this item

So the vendor told me when they told UPS to pick up the package! And UPS told me when they picked up the package! And then, about nine hours later, UPS told me they'd taken the package to the post office and mailed it to me -- and they even got me a trackin number for the mailed package! Even though the trackin number for the mailed package doesn't actually track! That's dedication!

1. I've had things delivered before the tracking number even said it was on a truck.

2. I like tracking my orders

Sometimes they get here so fast I don't know how it happened, and then other times it looks like it is just 6 hours away and it takes days or even weeks.

I think sometimes Amazon sends things the long way to encourage people to use their more expensive option. I used to get things from Amazon in like 1 or 2 days using the Super Saver shipping. Now it often takes the full time. I think they do this on purpose somehow.
