My brother Mike called after a three month since the last call. He lives straight up the road, about 35 miles driving through Austin.
The last call kinda got shortened over his "Corona virus is a hoax." and "TRUMP".
He's still my brother and I love the mug.
He said they thought about coming over this weekend but my nephew pointed out my health complications and told Mike the did not want to think he accidentally kakked uncle, Marble Falls. Mike than talked about the precautions he and and my thoughtful nephew are doing regarding Covid.
HE FINALLY ADMITS COVID IS A VERY SERIOUS DEAL!
We talk for a while and I point out how I still can't call him without a "this customer uses this line for out calling only" message, he says he got a new phone it should work now.
He says nephew should hang around with Joy 'n me because he's sounding more like us every day. Even wants to vote for Joe Biden.
He starts calling out Joe Biden and I just keep quiet because its not worth getting angina over.
Mike says Trump is incompetent and he doesn't want to vote for him but that Joe Biden is more crooked than Hillary Clinton. Not going to let a discussion blowup a conversation I let Hillary Clinton half of the slam slide.
I ask him how Joe Biden is crooked. He says Burisma paid him $20M a year to Hunter Biden for being being on the board. I asked where he got the number, and he added that Hunter was not qualified to be on a Board.
While I explain to him there's no regulation or qualifications to sit on a board while I googled Hunter Biden and Burisma and payments.
I find a Federalist article based on a Bloomberg article that put his remuneration at $60,000/year - plenty but not outrageous and definately not $20M, either. I asked him how that made anyone let alone Joe Biden corrupt. I pointed out its pretty hard to corrupt Joe Biden, he doesn't even own a share of stock. Bernie Sanders has stock.
So it ended with him saying he didn't think he was voting this year.
If you knew him you'd know that between the Covid walk-back and the commitment to not vote (which I'll settle for), I moved a mountain.
Feelin' good about our chances. I have a mail in and I'm not sure if I'm going in to vote or mailing it in.
