It's 11 pm and the air quality index is 518

I guess all that smoke that pushed out to the coast is being pushed back into the valley by the changing wind. We’d seen some numbers in the 200/300s but not this high.

My basement garage has a nice haze to it (definitely not as sealed as the rest of the house).

I’m avoiding using my stationary bike because it’s in the basement. I guess my knee can wait a few more days.

and my throat is raw, my eyes hurt and my cough is ragged. I can hardly imagine what it must be like for you. We need rain, we need a little breeze and we all need some fresh air. Hope it comes soon for you and all of us! Stay safe.

We’ve nearly always had that. Sure we’d get an air inversion every couple of years but we’ve never had air quality this bad. I feel for those with respiratory issues.

Hope your air clears up soon!

I've been out twice today and boy was I glad to have a mask! The last time we had smoky air no one really had a supply of masks at hand.

Even when the smoky air and Covid are over, I plan to have masks around.

Goddam polluters and climate change deniers. They are ruining our planet.

Praying for a quick end to the current situation and for all the people and the wildlife in the fire zones.

People aren't gripping about wearing masks so much right now.

Hand in there.
