50 genuinely creepy horror movies

1. Psycho was the creepiest.

I was afraid to take a shower for a few days after seeing that.

Most of these lists are of more modern films, but this one had some great older films like M, Last Man on Earth, and Dr. Caligari, and other classics like The Exorcist. Only thing I'm surprised wasn't on there was The Silence of the Lambs.

3. I always had a problem with the original Body Snatchers from 1956 I believe.

It gave me nightmares for years, but to my credit as a little kid (5,6,7) I expected them and was somewhat prepared. And compartmentalized them for what they were. And consequently, was not afraid to go to sleep at night.

But those 'pods' bothered the shit out of me. I will admit that.

4. Good list. I haven't seen some of those. Night of Living Dead, tho, I find humorous, not

not creepy.

5. horror movies

Im not going to bash the movie or anything, It was a good gore movie.

But both movies below deeply disturbed me but not as bad as August Underground's Penance.
