6. I have not seen spiders in my apartment this summer. I did not have a shower today so humidity

is out. Not too hot outside. No wind (mine or the outside kind). Batteries and whole unit is new. I can't figure it out.

that if you don't see a spider, none are in your house? or attic, which is generally how they get into a ceiling smoke detector.

and they have monds of their own. NEVER 'YELP' during the day, always begin upstairs, by the bedrooms at around 230am. WITH NO replacment battery in the house!

10. They do that if they get cold, which is more likely in the middle of the night.

Try to close them off, and heat the area. That will normally work.

sometimes taking out the battery and reseating it works, sometimes not. And sometimes it happens with fresh batteries as well.
Have now goe 2 months without a CHIRP! knock on wood,,,,,

they were old and new batteries didn't help. Drove us INSANE because it happened at all hours of the night.

Either that or some of those CHEM trails got in through the dryer vent.
