I used to sell encyclopedias door-to-door (Colliers), and I've always considered it a challenge when I saw a "Beware of Dog" sign.
I ignored them and went in anyway.
The trick is to act like you belong there.
It's always worked, and one time while doing a canvas, I had a partner, and we ended up at one of those gates with one of those signs.
A small dog came running out (about the size of the one in the video) and started barking and jumping up so high, he could've easily have jumped the fence if they wanted.
One thing you learn while selling door-to-door is that the people who put up those signs (and the ones about no solicitors allowed) were usually the easiest to sell to, so I opened the gate and walked to the house like I lived there.
The other guy was screaming for me to get back, but I ignored him.
The dog kept barking and jumping like he wanted to rip the other guys face off, but totally ignored me.
By the way, I sold the owners a set.
