But it was my downfall. I took piano lessons for seven years, but as an over-ambitious, enthusiastic teenager, I was never able to master this piece. In fact, it was only the second (slow) movement that I ever got any good at. The other two movements I was never more than absolute crap at.

Brenboims version from around 1966 or 67 remains my favorite interpretation.
