Update on my cherries for bird visitors...

At 6:45 this morning I went out to see about those ripe, dark pink cherries ya'll told me were OK to put out for them.

Not one bird visitor this morning

Also NO cherries on the ground (that I could see). You'd think word would get out around birdville that there a good eats at THAT house so go for it and I'd have MORE bird friends.

Or maybe they all got drunk on cherries and are having a bird hangover today....

I miss 'em, I do...I just dunno what happened to all my bird friends...

If there's nothing there now they won't come back until you put more out.

I don't think birds normally go for cherries that have dropped on the ground.

In my yard I've got birds eating mulberries and leaving their purple bombs on my car and sidewalk.

6. Gee, I'd love to see a raccoon. I've never seen one in real life so it would be a treat.

who visit my porch almost every evening to steal the peanuts I put out for the chipmunks. And I'm not in a rural area but right in the city. Raccoons, a/k/a trash pandas, can be kind of a nuisance around here because they get into the garbage if it's not secured. Here's the mom raccoon peering into the window like she usually does:

You almost certainly have them because they're everywhere, but you might not be seeing them because they are mostly nocturnal.
