Blackie, would fall asleep when I pet him, eventually he'd nuzzle his head into my armpit and snore in his sleep.

He was my chickenfreind.
I miss him to this day. I took him everywhere too.
I made a sling where my arms were free and he'd ride around in it.

He was a single black chick in a sea of yellow ones. That's why his name was Blackie.

He was a jungle fowl the ancestors of all chickens.
He had 4 inch Spurs on his feet but never hurt me with them, He was beautiful.

Watching the vid makes me miss him and makes me wish I could have another rooster in my life.

Never pooped on the bed, on furniture or in my arms,or in his sling. He went outside or in the coop. I guess it was instinct to not dirty ones nest?

He somehow knew he was not supposed to poo there

I also had a pet rat that wouldn't shit or pee on me my furniture also. She peed on me once and saw my reaction and never did it again. She was a young rat when it happened. She used her cage after that. Sometimes she did a specific chitter to tell me she had to go. I put her in the grass those times. She too went with me everywhere. Had her when I was in residential housing program. I still miss her too.Her name was Ivory, named after my sisters awesome rat. My Ivory lived to be 5 years old. Amazingly old.

I love birds. Any kind of birds.
But a living, breathing alarm clock in your bed?

NO! Just no!

I would go to hit the snooze alarm and I would flatten the bird!
