I got a message from a woman who I would be interested in but she's too far away (this is what sucks about living in CO). Would it be good to reply with "Hi. I really like your profile but I'm in ________ and _______'s too far away. Thanks for the message and I'm sorry this didn't work out." Or would it be better to simply not respond? I know how frustrating it is to never get responses.

Just say that you are in CO. In this world, you never know how things might workout.

You never know, things change and people move around. Keep your options open.
Of course, what do I know, I've never done online dating...lol.

Of course, that's only a movie and it was years ago.
Now, plenty of people are working from home and could do that from just about anywhere. Or, she could have the kind of job that is easily found elsewhere (health care, for instance).
Take the time to talk on the phone, e-mail, zoom, whatever and see if there might be a reason to overcome the challenge of not being in the same geographical area at the moment.
