It is a really fun piece to play. When the guns kick in it becomes very intense, I used to play in a summer band that would shoot big guns with blanks into large garbage cans on stage. Very loud and smoky on stage. Outside they used an old Howitzer in the park, that was impressive too. My favorite part is the end when the melody becomes hymn-like with several sets of chimes and bells beating away signaling peace and success and church and the voice of God and people running out in the streets when the battle with Napoleon was over.

It is so over used but I always find it moving and hope to play it once more before I hang it all up.

Everyone had forgotten his mom had music on softly in background

We'd stopped at his home on way back to college from a major convention

Until he graduated, he was teased as the power prayer!
