I do believe, however, that Trump thought he was making a little joke. I think it just occurred to him (a la Homer Simpson) that while positive is usually good, in this case negative is good.

Or Kevin Ball from Shameless. Though I very much doubt that Trump watched Shameless (unless someone told him about all the nudity).
