the joy of spring, fresh produce, and time to make delicious things!

in the last week, we've picked strawberries, found farm grown asparagus and rhubarb and some fairly local corn at a farm stand (so sweet!), and are picking lettuce and other greens from our garden.

lots of salads, sauteed greens with garlic and ginger. strawberry cake, strawberry tea bread, strawberry rhubarb crisp, steamed asparagus with butter and lemon....this season goes by in the blink of an eye so we are taking full advantage!

Anyone else basking in spring produce bounties???

I make use of the herbs often.
All diff types of lettuce.

At Yakima Market I can get a lot of local stuff and have had asparagus, bok choy and green onions.

Been mushroom hunting but haven’t scored yet.
