A B-2 bomber just flew over my house!

Not directly over, but certainly within a mile of me!

It was doing a flyover of area hospitals as a salute to medical workers. The B-2s are based at Whiteman AFB, about 60 miles or so from me. It was quite an impressive sight!

I used to be stationed at Patuxent River. I've seen a few F-14s.

According to the Wikipefia article, the last one to fly for the USN was in 2006.

I remember discussing their retirement with an aviator that had moved from the F-14 to the F-18, back in 1999.

I'm a mile away from a hospital though, so I'm sure I'll see/hear it.

How about grounding the plane, and saving the cost of the flight (how many thousands of dollars would that one flight have cost?), then donating the money saved to pay for protective equipment for those very medical workers?

Those things don't fly cheap! It would make sense to normal people to save the money and direct it into PPE for those med-workers, or (heaven forfend!) TESTING for virus victims--but this is the age of tRump, where up is down, truth is falsehood, and logic is insanity.

The same mentality that wanted a military parade in front of donnie's dump, the White House.

Military pilots have a minimum monthly requirement of time flying to be considered current.
Private pilots, not so much. All a private pilot has to do is pass a flight review every two years.
If I show my logbook to the instructor administering that flight review and s/he sees only twenty
hours of flight time in the last two years, I can guarantee you I'll get a tougher review than somebody
who has 200 hours of logged time in that same period.

I know lots of current and former military pilots from all over the world. Almost universally they report getting very little flight time compared to commercial pilots.

Fat Donnie loves his airplanes. It's better in his mind to waste a million dollars in fuel and maintenance than to provide 100 hospitals with personal protective equipment for their health workers, or 50,000 citizens with COVID-19 tests. Who cares how many people get infected or die from this little stunt? Maybe Trump will go out and stand in a group of people protesting their right to spread the disease, since the health workers will most certainly be too busy saving lives in the ICU.

It was really close to the ground. There were two other groups behind it.

I only got my camera ready for the last group.
