This afternoon I saw a couple of either eagles or hawks

(I'm bird-identifying impaired, alas) in my neighborhood, floating on air currents. It was a bit windy and they were enjoying the breezes. I see plenty of birds here, but have never seen these eagles, hawks, whatever they were.

I live in Santa Fe, NM.

Oh, and a community free exchange has popped up at my mailbox cluster. It started at the beginning of last week. Books, CDs, clothing, various random things.

for a month. Not a car in the lot. Normally open 24-7-365.

So last week I saw a pair of eagle flying a 100 ft above it. It's the Soaring Eagle Casino.

I used to see them a lot more often, so I was thrilled. I was driving down the main street of my little town and I'm sure this one must have been after something to be flying so low.

Aren't they magnificent? I never get tired of watching them.
