I'm trying not to freak out.
The report is that she's having a pretty good day (so far)--the same as yesterday. Breathing ok (with oxygen treatment), responsive, and eating a little.
One hour, one minute at a time, I guess.

(1,723 posts)give her lots of vitamins A & D, and some form of elderberry (comes in syrup, tablets, and effervescent tablets). It works for me, and I am 76.

(38,578 posts)We were sure that we were going to lose her... she was struggling to breathe.
She rebounded a bit yesterday, and today she is much the same.
The activities director at the nursing home schedules face-time once a week for the residents, but we will get to see and speak w/ her again on Tuesday.

May your mother recover as fully as my Sister-in-law did.

(9,653 posts)And you are right. One hour at a time, one minute at a time, just do what you can do. And definitely allow yourself time to just sit and fall apart if you need to. It helps to get that out. I've had a lot of experience.
We are all here for you.
