The strange feeling of risking your life for toilet paper...

...I live alone in a house in woodsy, suburban New Haven, CT--Orange, to be exact. I have a lovely yard here, woods, a stream to walk down to. There's a nice small park about 20 minutes away that's usually empty. I have food for two weeks, if I drink water, which after all is good for you... …I have everything I need for weeks. Except, of course, for toilet paper. Neither the local CVS or Target has any. Which means a walk to the bus stop down to the mall, and looking either in Walmart's or Stop and Shop, for the damned stuff. (No car.) And I'll probably be doing it tomorrow... ...*sigh*. Interesting Times we live in, to be sure...

Having to decide when to go to the store & the looming question "is it (products) worth your life?"

And trying to calculate whether to go now or wait.

I made a major grocery run a couple of days ago & am set for quite a while, thankfully!

I sure hope you find tp!

Here in Georgia and in Chicago where my sister is they usually have TP first thing in the morning. Get there when the doors open. Also do you have a Walgreens they have a limit of two items per customer to prevent hoarding and always seem to be stocked. Please don’t get on a bus. Take an Uber with the windows open. Good luck with your search.

...and there's a Walgreen's across the (busy) street, as well. It's an hour walk, but better than the bus...

They get resupplied once per week and it goes fast despite the limits.

It has a limited clientele, so the locusts have not descended on it.

its easy to make a hand held one. Just use any soft squeeze bottle you have around the home, then let air dry. bottle ideas, bike water bottle, ketchup, mustard, again any soft squeeze will work. if you can't wait to air dry, because your clean just use a cloth to blot.
