To try to reach to the back of the shelf. Back and bending issues and I rarely carry my cane with me in the grocery stores.

I’m 5’9” and even I sometimes have to stand on tiptoe or do a little hop. I’m always happy to grab something for someone that asks.

I'm 5'7" so I don't have too much trouble, but occasionally I've asked for help reaching the chocolate ice cream, which was at the back of the top shelf.

I’m female and am very tall. I cannot remember a time that I did not help someone get something off the top shelf at the grocery store. Even I had to tippy toe and stretch at times to get the article.

I hate to ask but when I can't find an employee and there's some really tall person (anyone over 5' 5) walking by (pre-covid), I ask for help. They are always so kind about it.

Otherwise I find another item like a roll of foil and try knocking the item I need off the shelf. Not a good idea.

I have no shame, I'll climb right up to the top to get that last box of cereal or whatever. Hell, I'll repel down if I have to.
