So I made a banana bread yesterday with self-rising flour. Looked beautiful! Then I put it on the counter to rest and it fell like a souffle.

Frozen treats ..meat free stuff all gone.
Mac and cheese, canned chicken gone
Most pet foods. Cat litter all gone.
Soups sparce frozen anything lacking.
Not even a donut.
Funny there were tons of fruit and veggies.

(31,517 posts)It was really good without being as sweet as many recipes. I don't know how well it would work with self rising flour, however.

(46,720 posts)I need to compare measurements for bananas. The bananas were perfectly aged and I probably didn't make my situation better by adding half of another banana. But the recipe was not in cups. It said, three bananas.

(25,939 posts)and as such, they sometimes seem out-of-step with American shopping habits, as in the lack of self-rising flour I mentioned (no sugar-free ice cream is another). The problems are minor, however, and its our go-to store for most of our pantry staples.
