A 50% tax on these uber wealthy individuals would not even be noticeable. And that would just be on their annual income, not even touching their existing wealth.

I love Amazon and applaud the innovative entrepreneurs who have changed the way we live, for the most part for the better. This goes all the way back to the Rockefellers, the Carnegies, the Fords and other uber rich (for their times) individuals.

But they would not have become as successful or rich without the hard work of the citizens, who built the railroads and highways, the airports and train stations, the ports, the US Post Office. Provided clean water and electricity to run their businesses. Police to maintain law and order and military to protect our nation. We, through OUR taxes have provided them with the environment and foundation they needed to build their success upon.
