I've had to make the transition from blunt chopsticks to pointed ones.

Surprisingly difficult.

there's something easier? I've never been a pro at chopsticks, I have to concentrate too much

coordinated. The blunt ones I used in the 60s and 70s were easier, but that might've been from habituation.

I'm a pretty fair hand with a fork, too.

If there's good food around, I'll work something out.

restaurant owned by Korean friends of mine, their kids badgered me to try eating with chopsticks. I was so incompetent that their mom brought out a pair joined by elastic, which are used to teach little kids to handle them. I still couldn't do it.

I ate for many years with nothing else, and still do at most meals.

I've become deft enough to confidently snatch up a grain of rice, but it did take time.

I do use a fork for spaghetti, and a spoon for soup.

Ice Cream! And pudding, and ice cream cake.

And then there's jello which you could eat with a fork.

I think the last time I ate that nasty stuff was the last time I was in the hospital and that was decades ago. Even whipped cream can't help that stuff. I was never all that fond of it especially after I learned that it was made partially from seaweed. I lived in a fishing town in Maine and when there wasn't fish harvesting going on there was seaweed harvesting! They would get the sea grapes stuff and fill up their skiffs, many at a time and bring them to the pound to weigh it up and get paid.

Now I would think it was a better ingredient but then it was like thinking it was seriously wilted lettuce or something like that.

Still it's not something that fits into any food group that I would recognize. In Idaho and Utah, I know it's a big thing, particularly the green jello which I find among the most offensive flavors.

Some might prefer sporks, but spoons is the traditionally accepted way to eat pizza.
