1. What is happening to links to Tweets?

I just upgraded my Mac to the latest version of macOS Catalina, and every time I view a post like this the blue "Link to Tweet" disappears within a second after the page loads... I am pretty technical, but I don't understand why this is happening suddenly... I assume it's a Safari bug?

I have accessed DU using over a dozen combinations of machine/browser, and the "link to tweet" only ever shows up as a blue hyperlink.

Well, I exaggerate. Perhaps one in fifty tweets actually load for me.


What most annoys the shit out of me is when people "link to tweet" with nothing else in their subject line, and they quickly show upon the front page with three hundred recs and two thousand views. All for simply pipelining someone else's idea.


I've raised this point before, and I have been almost universally ridiculed for it, so I stopped complaining about it.
