Another bad night. Fell asleep at around 5am. The first robo-call came in at 7:55.

Well, at least that's better than last week, when the first one came in at 5:55. I'm thinking about unplugging the phone, at night, and hope that if there's an emergency, they call my cell phone. So far, I'm getting very few robo calls on that. I mostly get weird calls from prisoners in California, but that's another story, for another day.

Landline? It won’t catch all of them, but it will reduce the #. And it’s free.

you can establish a do not disturb feature to only allow white listed numbers through on off hours.

This one was from SAME NUMBER as the last. They changed the name from Lillian McGhee to Andy McGhee. I don't know if that's what triggered it getting through.

I always double check numbers I don't recognize, even if Nomorobo doesn't flag them, and this number is listed on their web site as a robo-caller. They must not do a universal block. Well, I took care of that, for them. No more early morning calls from the McGhees in St. John Florida should be jerking me out of sleep.

We paid $2.50 a month and if someone would try to call our land line they would get a message that said if you are not a robot, press 8. We did not get one robo call in a year. It was wonderful!! We have since ditched the landline and cable and went with YouTube TV. Of course now we are getting weird calls on our cell phones. My voice mail called me the other day!!! We cannot escape it.

I want to drop the phone line but if I do, my rates will go up. Strange.

Unfortunately, Xfinity is the only reliable internet provider, in the Flint area so I'm kind of stuck with them. Fortunately, I haven't had a whole lot of complaints about them. Well, other than them moving TCM to what is, pretty much, a SPORTS PACKAGE!!

We barely got calls any more on the land line and our cable bill was so high. We watch very little TV and when we do we watch Acorn or Britbox. YouTube TV is $50 a month and we get all our local channels and sports. Works for us.

but I'm stuck with the land line because the rates are higher without it. It does come in handy for calling my cell phone when I misplace it.

I’ve had the ringer on my landline in my bedroom turned off for over 10 years. No more wrong number phone calls at 2 am after the bars close.

However, last night, after wandering the house, I ended up crashing on the couch. Not the first time that has happened.

I went through a long period of time, filled with family illnesses, that had me grabbing the phone, night or day, before the first ring ended. I actually carried the cordless phone receiver around with me, from room to room, including the bathroom. So, nighttime phone ringing is quite a trigger. Hopefully those days are past and will never return.
