Captain Morgan the cat brought two oven mits into my bedroom doorway last

night and left them on the ground. Usually it is my winter hat or winter gloves. He is an indoor cat and is obviously giving me little gifts with my scent on them because he loves me. What narratives do you tell yourself about your pets?

it because the real pirate, by that name, was a slave owner and a marauder my Jamaican friend tells me. But it never sticks.

Or put their paws in the shoes to nap. Our scents must be concentrated in the stinky feet smell
