I had the biggest red-tailed hawk I've ever seen in Colorado all but stalking my dog and me while in a nearby tree on our favorite trail two days ago. His intent stare was really unnerving. Those who've been attacked by Great Horned Owls (which is not so uncommon) know that they can do quite a bit of damage and a hawk's talons are even worse.

Still love to see them, though.

Bye-bye fingers!

I love birds. They are the most amazing creatures.

The segment with a peregrine falcon is awesome.
