1. He hasn't exposed others,yet,

He knows too much, and how long before it's exposed Putin and trump we're using Russian mafia to spy on an American Ambassador with, and both be able to deny they knew or were involved in it, but outer intel heard they might use violence against her got her out ASAP. Parnas hasn't said anything about Putin or the Russian mob. If they did murder her was they going to then claim Ukraine and the Democrats were behind it? 2. Plausible. There were a couple things Parnas said, that didn't add up

He only knows Trump as a donor/isn't a friend he'd go to a ballgame with.
He started working for Fred Trump when he was 16 yrs old. He even talked about how, Trump denied knowing him, made him feel like family turned their back on him.

He said, I don't think it's organized crime.
It's definitely organized crime, he knows that, I'm pretty sure he's a fixer for the Russian mafia.

BS, if they were plotting her murder, of course he doesn't want to have a conspiracy to commit murder charge.
I may be wrong about all of it, I sure as hell hope someone other than Ukraine is investigating.
