3. Years ago, the Ex and I bought. . .

two new love seats to replace the couch that the dog had been allowed on.

She was understandably confused when I chased her off one of the new love seats, which were placed opposite each other in a conversational grouping.

I was puttering around in the kitchen for awhile and then I ducked my head back into the living room to admire the new furniture again. There sat the dog in tidy splendor on the other love seat. Her posture and expression clearly indicated that she looked at the second one of the two new love seats and surmised Okay then, this one is mine.

6. We bought a table for $10 to repaint and put in the living room...

the new dog we just brought home took it over immediately

it's his unpainted table he lays on and stands on to look out the window

it's his table
