4. That's what got me as well. Stayed upright even when bumped.

Seem to me that while a safer ride, it takes the challenge out of bike riding. You could put any numb nut on the bike.

5. I can also see some very dangerous failure modes in that control system....

just like in autonomous cars and trucks. Human complacency and lack of attention to detail often kills.
