in the warm sector longer than forecast so we missed most of the ice, only getting about .25" or so. Areas just to our north weren't so lucky. It was a difference of 5 miles. We did get a lot of flooding, though, but my place is okay. My basement is another story. There are are a few inches of water but living in an apartment that's not my problem. I love not being a homeowner anymore.

The man said there is hope for Humanity.

And never take your dog off the leash unless you are in a fenced-in area. I could write some horror stories about people who did that, and their pets are no longer with them.

I'm sure Mitzi's owner thanked the woman whose dog brought her attention to the foxhole, but I was hoping they would be among the group of helpers and the happy reaction would include the hero dog getting a lot of "Good dog! Good job, (dog's name)! exclamations.

from getting lost to finally reuniting. Being a dog's parent is not easy emotionally. Whenever mine ran off for whatever reason ot was like the end of the world until they were home again. Each time gave me new wrinkles and grey hair but I would never give up on finding them like this man.

It kept her safe and warm at night. Thanks to another dog who found her and to the dog’s owner for noticing that her dog was acting differently.
