So.....are your holiday decorations put away yet???

doing mine this weekend......ha ha, my flock of penguins, with their Christmas bows, are standing in mud.

The holiday stuff is all taken down and out of sight. It may yet be awhile before it's all back where it belongs between Epiphany and Thanksgiving.

3. My single thistle door wreath will go back in the box in about four days. However....

my neighbor has a different schedule. He puts up a shitload of stuff for Halloween.... then he augments it for Thanksgiving.... then he doubles down for Christmas.... then he waits until after the Superbowl Sunday to take it all down. It is what it is, but the damn flashing lights drive me crazy.

4. Still negotiating with husband...

My most recent offer is a week later than he wants and a week earlier than I choose 😉. We just have one small, beautiful tree and I’d like to keep it up for another couple of weeks.

never got any out. did get a tree (couple of juniper branches) stuck in a bucket in the corner of living room (smells so good) but never decorated it.

7. Got it all done yesterday.

Took me about an hour. My incentive for getting it done is how forlorn the decorations look after the holidays are over and the magic is gone. I don't like the reminder, so I put everything away lickety-split.

My nine inch artificial tree is off the mantle and all boxed up. Our decor is typically understated.

It just didn't get done.

On a positive note, I did gather all my unneeded and unwanted Christmas gifts to donate them to an organization called Hope Before Heaven. They help to ensure that no cat and dog has to be euthanized due to an owner's inability to pay for emergency medical services. They will be having a basket raffle this spring so I wanted to help them out.

I love them so I will leave them up until at least the 6th, or the 10th, or the twelvth..... LOL
