...outside the grocery store. I climbed in my car, turned the key, and this came on. I sat with the rain coming down as it tore my heart.
You don't often get an experience like that.

Thirty years ago, I happened to meet up with an old girlfriend on New Year's day; she talked about a bad marriage that has since ended. I'm still in contact with her, but, sadly, distance and a few other things keep us from being more than good friends. I listen to this song every New Year's and think wistfully about what could have been.........
