Anyone else seen JoJo Rabbit ?

It's about a 10 year old boy, in the Hitler Youth, whose mother is hiding a Jewish teenage girl. I found it funny, sad, thought provoking, quirky, dark, hopeful and unexpected. Well worth watching.

Not so long ago I read a book about traveling through Nazi Germany during the 1930s, and I saw a lot of parallels between between the two, about the ordinary day to day acceptance of the Nazis by the German people.

I raved about it here, I found the boy actor to be amazing. The Director/Writer also played Hitler (as the Boy's Imaginary friend).
DVD and Blu-ray release date estimated for February 25 2020.

will make you think about the horrific impacts of war on ordinary people.

A few years ago a German woman who was born after WW 2 tried to apologize to me for Nazi Germany. I assured her she was not responsible and there was no need to apologize. Afterwards I realized that many Germans are experiencing "national guilt" for something they were not part of. As Americans we should carefully consider our actions to avoid the possibility that future generations will experience "national guilt."
