Tis the Season to be Grateful!

I cannot tell you anything that, in a few minutes, will tell you how to be rich. But I CAN tell you how to FEEL rich, which is far better, in the grand scheme of things, than BEING rich. Be Grateful--it's the only reliable get-rich-quick scheme.

Never let the things you want make you forget the things you have. The miracle is this: The more we SHARE, the more we HAVE. Be THANKFUL for what you have. You'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever, have enough--and you will never, ever, be happy. Gratitude is the closest thing to beauty manifested in an emotion.

I'm grateful for long days; it means I have a meaningful life. I'm grateful for aches and pains; it means I am alive. I'm grateful for family and friends, precious more than gold; it means I have a place in the world. I'm grateful for hot baths, and sunshine, and rain. I'm grateful for early work calls tomorrow; it means I have the trust of my fellow man. I'm grateful for the thumbs and fingers writing this. I'm grateful for another day alive at the same time as you.
