The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI made the "greatest" page.
For the first time I think. I never look at that page but it came up when I logged in a few minutes ago. My post was about thanking WI DEMS for their hard work even though they lost. I wrote it because I felt so bad last night for the people who worked so hard to defeat Walker. I've been there...canvassed and tabled in the rain and the snow and the cold and the heat...worked my heart out for a cause I thought was right...and lost. It is terrible, just terrible and you want to crawl into a corner and never come out. I can't count the number of times I have vowed never to get involved again...but I always do. I am 66 and hope that before my life is over I'll see some of the things I've fought for...I have great faith that I will.
Anyway, this post is probably a little strange but I wanted to express what I am feeling and GD is a pretty uncomfortable place right now. I am truly honored that people thought enough of what I said to nominate the post for the "greatest". Thank you.

(149,641 posts)I think you should be proud. That was a beautifully written post...
It's a great feeling; I've been there a couple of times myself...
Remember, you're just following along in the family tradition. I think Will has been there more than a few times too...
Congrats!
