I FINALLY have my aircard and it is working! Now I wish to watch some Stewart and Colbert.
Is there a way to avoid the ads?

(6,581 posts)Not that I know of. If you try to fast forward to another point in the program, it plays ads. You can't drop out of them without losing the entire program.
I guess just bear it, the ads subsidize the programming. I admit it gets annoying, since they show the same thing over and over. How many times does one need to see Alex Trebek hawking Wheat Thins???
If someone knows how, please let us all know.
Go to the kitchen and make yourself a snack. Or, throw in a load of laundry, play with the cat, start a shopping list.
I'm lazy when it comes to fast-forwarding.

(2,431 posts)I mean I usually watch on Hulu just because I get a wider diversity of ads; but not by much. Also, it allows me to aggregate all my online TV viewing into one queue.
so my technological advance is actually a return to the old way of tee vee? figures
at least it wasn't something I just couldn't find or figure out

(47,675 posts)Usually there will be a small text box in one of the corners that says something like "you can skip the rest of this ad in (x) seconds". If it doesn't, you're pretty much stuck with the dumb-ass ad, but fortunately they only last 30 seconds. I just hit mute until they're over.
