Thanksgiving logistics
Hoping everything works well. On Monday, we went from just the three of us for dinner holiday, to having 7 additional for dinner, which include 4 growing teen boys, then 2 more for dessert. Im glad in a way, because it never really felt like a true holiday with just myself, hubby, and our 2 kids. Both of our families have always done large extended dinners. Just wish the invite had been accepted a bit earlier. I was able to find one 19 lb fresh turkey.
The kicker this year is that 6 of them only eat protein - which includes the teen boys. Theyre all trying the carnivore diet. There was no way I was adding a ham or another turkey, so Im adding 36 deviled eggs to the menu. If SILs family wants to pick the sausage out of the stuffing, go for it.
I took a break last night, and poked around Instagram. My SILs tagline is Jesus Freak! Conservative, Keto, Carnivore! Oh, and since we thought it was just us originally, we didnt board our neurotic 12yo German shepherd who doesnt like guests and can bark herself hoarse no matter where she is in the house.
I am going to try my best to behave and be a good hostess..., but cant wait until tonight at midnight as everyone should be gone then. If I can make it that long, Im good! Thankfully another guest is bringing wine, and my fav diabetic alcohol beverage of choice is strawberry buble, berry stevia, and a shot of raspberry vodka! 😜
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
