(25,895 posts)Snow here generally is not much of a problem. We never really get that much, and once it stops and the sun comes out it's almost all gone within a few hours.
I like living in a place with a real winter. Actually, we have four seasons, although our spring isn't all that terrific, compared to places where there are a lot more flowers and flowering plants to make it pretty.

(12,414 posts)We are similar, not sure if we are higher in alt. About 5500. This is a fruit valley surrounded with mountains. Lots of snow up high rain down low

I've also lived in Golden and Boulder Colorado, so I know those places well enough.
