A friend of our sons she came home with them. I had to bounce her a little bit I asked what the hell kiddo she informed me that was the style ripped jeans. She paid $42 each for them $84for them I told next time by 4 pair for $ 20 each. And bring them to me I will hook you up for free.
I almost hate them as much as I hate(d) sagging ones.
I just don't get it, but I've never been a style maven.

(31,999 posts)Back in the Stone Age when I was a teenager, ripped and patched jeans were the thing, too. And my mother wouldnt let me wear them! I thought she was so mean!
But yeah the prices they charge for them now you really scratch your head.

(6,568 posts)Im almost 40 and I prefer ripped jeans.
But pre-ripped has always been expensive. Even in the 90s when ripped jeans were super popular.

(25,471 posts)They were very popular in the late 80s/early 90s in the olden days of my early adulthood.
Like most fashions, they cycle in and out and back in.

(17,195 posts)... back in the proverbial Day. Although washing one's jeans 42 times in a row is not so costly as paying premium prices for pre-ripped jeans. Somehow, I think label cachet may play a part, here.

(4,660 posts)with more holes than fabric. I told them winter is coming and they're going to freeze their beejeebies! None of us knew what that meant but they got the idea.
I even hate to donate their "old" jeans to charity; it feels like I'm donating expired food.
