Brotherly Bible debate leads to gunshots at Florida home

An argument over the Bible on a Florida front porch between two brothers led to gunshots and one man’s arrest.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Dean at a Tallahassee home and charged him with four counts after a debate with his brother led to a fight that ended up with Dean firing shots into the ground, according to a report from WCTV.

The arrest report said Dean was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill, use of a firearm during a felony, harming a public servant or family member and property damage.

The TV station said the incident happened late Sunday, and that according to the arrest affidavit, Dean’s brother told deputies that they two had been drinking alcohol, got into a biblical debate and that Dean choked the brother, which then led to a fight.

see (if a million people read a particular biblical verse, they would interpret it in a million different ways). Pathetic...drinking and then violence afterwards, w/ each other (a fellow family member...nice! Really nice!).

I'm being sarcastic here and I don't think I'll ever listen to these two in particular (or any other religious 'authority') give me their interpretation of the bible's words.

Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition

"Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition" is an American patriotic song by Frank Loesser, and published as sheet music in 1942 by Famous Music Corp. The song was a response to the attack on Pearl Harbor that marked United States involvement in World War II.

The 1943 version by Kay Kyser and His Orchestra had reached number 1. A portion of the tune is sung while in the Superman cartoon "Jungle Drums" Hitler bows his head from news that Allied forces cut off a major assault of German U-boats. Loesser donated his royalties for sale of the song to the Navy Relief Society.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
And we'll all stay free

Praise the Lord and swing into position
Can't afford to be a politician
Praise the Lord, we're all between perdition
And the deep blue sea

Yes the sky pilot said it
Ya gotta give him credit
For a sonofagun of a gunner was he

Shouting Praise the Lord, we're on a mighty mission
All aboard, we ain't a-goin' fishin'
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
And we'll all stay free

Praise the Lord (Praise the Lord) and pass the ammunition
Praise the Lord (Praise the Lord) and pass the ammunition
Praise the Lord (Praise the Lord) and pass the ammunition
And we'll all stay free

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
And we'll all stay free

Our church has been doing Bible study all wrong, apparently. Nobody yet has tried to settle a difference of opinion with firearms. How can we tell who's right among those who are left after the gunplay?

Shall we argue round the bible and then pick birdshot from our buns?
Yes, we'll gather on the front porch,
the beautiful, the beautiful front porch,
gather with our family on the front porch
and drink and shout and shoot our guns
