Dessert - somewhat underdone brownies from the middle of the pan.

Also - if you live near a Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise, do try their Chocolate Chocolate Chip cake (not a typo). Delectable.

...and the CC Chip. And the frosting is luscious. The seasonal pumpkin flavor is quite wonderful, too.

There is a Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise less than a mile from my house. Kind of a mixed blessing.

I have a recipe for a deep dark version. After making it, you are directed to freeze it for several hours, and then let it warm up before serving -- but I love it still half-frozen. Mmmmmmmmmyummy.

My wife and I buy a big portion of our Christmas gifts on that website as well.

Apparently there is a new version that uses sweetened condensed milk, but the recipe I use calls for evaporated milk. Oh and I substitute butter for the Parkay margarine.

also chocolate soda and do you know how hard it is to find one of those damn things? I found a place in PHoenix that makes them and the waitress showed me how they make theirs. Apparently, soda fountains and the like no longer have the selzer machines so use sparkling water.

I went into Braum's (local burger joint/dairy store/ice cream and treat purveyor) Not only do they not have them, the workers did not even know what an ice cream soda is! They offered me a float though

I'm have a serious addiction to chocolate. One of my all time favorite chocolate desserts goes by several different names including Chocolate Punch Bowl Cake, Death By Chocolate, or as I like to call it Better Than Sex Cake.

Basically, I break up pieces of chocolate cake and place it in a punch bowl. I place chocolate pudding on top of the cake layer and whipped cream (cool whip works too) on top of the pudding. I keep repeating the layers in the punch bowl. This type of cake isn't limited to chocolate either. Several times I took angel food cake, vanilla pudding, strawberry glaze and whipped cream and kept repeating the layers.

This isn't my photo, but here's an image of what it looks like. Not everyone makes them all the same as they can be customized. Enjoy!

These cakes are easy to layer, although it does take some time to do so. These are easily layered in a Tupperware mixing bowl as well.

I hope that you get a chance to discover this savory dessert. There is a reason why I call it Better Than Sex Cake.

I am definitely going to make this. Do you use instant pudding or cooked pudding? I hate instant pudding, always use the cooked kind. And I have to have real whipped cream.

If I'm going to eat something bad for me, it's going to have every really good ingredient in it that I can possibly get.

but I don't see why cooked pudding couldn't be used in the layering process. It might add some bonus flavor that I have previously missed. I don't blame you for having to have real whipped cream, nothing beats real whipped cream.

Let me know how you like it when you get the chance to make it.

3 layers of rich devils food cake surrounded and topped with a dark chocolate ganache.

My favorite from a secret restaurant in Sacramento, California. After that 911 event happened, they changed to name to El Diablo. My taste buds don't care about the change.
