(12,132 posts)I just told my wife the other day I wanted to go get some deli bolgna and have them slice it thick so I could fry some up.
She politely informed me that no I would not.

(29,219 posts)my brother-in-law, who is an Emergency Room Physician, used to make "fat bread"...
Broil a steak or other piece of meat... then take a thick slice of bread, usually lightly toasted, and using the fat drippings in the bottom of the broiler pan, soak the bread in the grease drippings. Top with strips of fried bacon or make a sandwich.
Sound horrible? Nope, they taste wonderful! But my arteries would clog up just looking at them.
Haven't had one since I was 17 or 18 and still running track at my high school.
Moderation here would be "ah, thanks, but no"
