We stopped eating the store bought because we couldn’t find any without high fructose corn sugar.

refrig., my go to recipe, usually this time of year....Martha Stewart...looks complicated..but it isn't...I just don't do complicated..so many of her recipes are...

I mix 3 large granny's and 3 large red delicious...(I would bet Honey Crisp would be good too)
2/3 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups apple juice
1/2 tspn cinnamon
1/4 tspn nutmeg
1/8 tspn cloves...

cut apples to 1 1/2 inch pieces (peeled and cored), cook low heat with sugar and 1/4 cup apple juice -stir once in a while 50-60 min...mash to break down large pieces ..(if apples get too dry, add 1/4 cup apple juice at a time as needed)..once cooked remove from heat, whisk apples until smooth..then stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves..

The most time consuming is always peeling and coring....

Always a hit.....

Mine is very simple and fast and goooood
No sugar. No apple juice. I can see how the apple juice will increase the volume.

I use stevia and the sweetness of the apple comes out as it simmers. If you use a crock pot and simmer the apples for a few hours it is really sweet and flavorful. I am impatient and use a pan with a little water, apples peeled and cut up small so they cook fast add a little cinnamon and Poof!

So easy.

Regardless, welcome to the applesauce club!!
