Modern films are shock videos or jump-scare fests...can't beat good suspense or true horror, ever!

Good characters, good storyline, good visuals, believable situations, relatable problems ( the DJ's kid stuck in the house), a bit of humor. Loved it.

Horror films of today are for the most part just lame jump scares that you can see coming a mile away and way to much CGI even in scenes that do not need it at all. It makes everything look so fake. I miss the ingenuity and innovation of creating the special effects of older Horror / Sci-Fi movies that is sorely missing in films today.
