(1,639 posts)I have never been to the Grand Canyon or a foreign country. I definitely have never broken a bone. (Not from lack of effort, I am a major league clutz and once sprained my ankle four times in four months.)
I've slept outside, but not in a tent. I slapped someone when I was about 11 years old. (Still ashamed of it.) But I have never really punched someone.
Visited the ocean many times in my youth, stung by a bee more than once and went in anaphylactic shock. I was technically on skis at one point in my life, but I am not sure that you could count what I did on them as skiing.
I've been on the back of a motocycle one time and changed a modest share of diapers in my time.
Just to just to add a few items to a possible new list: I've ridden a horse once; likewise have been on the back of an elephant, gone sky-diving (tandem) and rappelling. I've never explored a cave. (I do not count visiting Lurray Caverns.) I also have never been arrested or been part of a protest march.

(2,533 posts)One of my earliest "memory" or memory of a memory was when I was 4 years old.
My dad had a private plane & we flew over the Grand Canyon. Hit a air pocket.
My memory is being glued to the ceiling in the back of a Cessna 17T as we dropped a few thousand feet.
So yes I have been to the Grand Canyon but for some reason forgot till just now. I'm also rare to punch & frankly very bad at it kinda forced into it-juvenile BS.

(971 posts)But part of my job involves The Canyon. I make the joke that I've done rim-to-rim-to-rim (South to North and back to South) in a day. And I didn't take the short cut by walking across, and even stopped for lunch at the Historic Trading Post at Cameron (their Navajo taco is awesome). Drove all the way; right at 200 miles each way.
When you're a communications tech, you get to do some WEIRD stuff. I have some wild pictures. I get to Phantom Ranch a couple times a year, even gotten 'stuck' down there overnight a couple of times.
I wholeheartedly recommend visiting The Canyon sometime in your life, you can do anything from hiking some of the most famous trails in the world, to just sitting back and watching a sunset, or sunrise.
If you can, try to visit the North Rim, way less crowded, but it's closed from mid-October to mid-April.
There is a reason The Canyon is the most visited tourist attraction in the world: It is truly spectacular.

(12,599 posts)Oh, wait, that wasn't on the list...I guess I was just fantasizing.
My real score is 0. The punch occurred in 6th grade when I heard a seventh grade bully running up from behind to knock me over. At the last instant I ducked, pivoted and punched him as hard as I could in the gut. He doubled up, fell to the ground gasping for breath, and never bothered me again.

I punched a neighbor one time, yea, I know. sounds bad, but I broke up a fight.
A female broke up a fight between two dudes. And they stopped.
(edit: I think they were more shocked that I would do something to stop it, but hey...
I didn't know I was a bad ass. Since then I've felt a little safer because I know what I can do in an emergency)
I say .5 because I've been on a snow mobile, which is kind of skiing, and when I was 8 I went water skiing.
But my water skiing days were quickly ended because I was utter fail and my god dad decided he wasn't
going to send me back drowned to my mom. So I don't know if any of that counts.
